Finally after four years of development – blood, sweat and almost tears – we’ve done it. Competitive, race-ready, affordable karting is now available in Australia. So let’s go have some fun.

A number of people have said “We were waiting for someone to do this” and a few have even said they were "seriously thinking of making a kart". Now it’s done, you, the karter, can benefit.

HOW CAN IT BE OFFERED AT SUCH AN ATTRACTIVE PRICE?

Simple. It isn’t cheap – $3,749.00 is still a lot of money – but it’s affordable.

The whole kart package can be offered at such an affordable price because we make EVERYTHING –the CDI ignition system, the chrome molly tubing chassis, the CNC billet alloy components, cast the engine, drop forge the connecting rods and pistons.

THE CHEETAH™ ENGINE

Why have karters been paying around $3,000 for a TAG engine? It's just a single cylinder 2-stroke engine. Yes, they are engineered for performance – the best bearings, brand name carburetors and produce 27-30 HP but consider that a complete 2 stroke whipper-snipper sells in major retail chains for around $69.00.

So imagine... going to a factory that has all the in-house engineering skills along with the mass manufacturing skills required to build a performance 2-stroke race engine for a fraction of the current market-leading engines. Well four years of research and development has led to the birth of the Cheetah™. All the best features of all the leading engines wrapped up into one engine for an affordable $1899.

SQ is so confident that our products are up to the job that new karts and Cheetah™ engines come with a limited warranty

6 months limited warranty on chassis
3 months limited warranty on engines

So what does “LIMITED WARRANTY” mean?

The fine print – SQ Racing Australia will be the determining authority if warranty is applicable and all goods will be sold fit for purpose.

Please note that you must fill out and return the warranty card to receive warranty. Alternatively fill out the warranty card online <click here> once you have received your chassis and/or engine.

Our reputation is very important to us and we will try and be more than fair when addressing any warranty claims.

Warranty Examples

Engine

You forget to put oil in the fuel and seize the engine - No Warranty
You run the engine without air filter screens and run off the track
sucking in rocks and breaking the engine - No Warranty
Clutch arm breaks within warranty period – Warranty
We will send you a new clutch hub.
Battery or reeds fail - No Warranty as these are consumable items
(same as your car)
Crank shaft breaks within the warranty period - Warranty

Chassis

Chassis Warranty - Covers the tube section only
Main rails crack - Warranty
Seat cracks - No Warranty as it is not a part of the tube frame section
Seat Stays crack after you have bent the stays with an old axle to fit a
larger seat - No Warranty
Side Pod / Nose Cone bars break after a crash - No Warranty
